These terms apply when you use OnlyExperts, run by OnlyExperts. By creating an account or posting a job you agree to them.
1. What OnlyExperts does
OnlyExperts is a marketplace that puts customers who need a job done in touch with independent local traders. We are not a party to the agreement between a customer and a trader, and we do not carry out the work ourselves. The trader is responsible for the work they agree to do.
2. Accounts
- You must be 18 or over and give accurate details, including a mobile number you can verify.
- Keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
3. For customers
- Posting a job and receiving quotes is free and there is no obligation to accept a quote.
- Describe the job honestly so traders can quote accurately. If the job turns out to be different, the trader may change their price.
- When you accept a quote, your contact details and full address are shared with that trader.
- Payment is agreed between you and the trader unless we tell you otherwise.
4. For traders
- You must hold the licences, qualifications and insurance needed for the work you quote for, and keep them up to date.
- The Compliant badge shows that we have checked the documents you provided at the time of checking. It is not a guarantee of the quality of any work.
- Quotes must be genuine. The price, hours included, extra-hour rate, call-out fee and minimum charge you enter are what the customer relies on.
- Use customer details only for the job they hired you for.
- Any fees or packages for traders are shown before you pay.
5. Reviews
Only customers who hired a trader through OnlyExperts can review them. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. Fake, paid-for or incentivised reviews are not allowed and will be removed.
6. Things you must not do
- Post false, misleading, offensive or illegal content.
- Harass, spam or scam other users, or try to take payments outside an agreed job.
- Copy, scrape or interfere with the website.
7. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep OnlyExperts safe and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free. We are not responsible for the work traders do, or for disputes between customers and traders, though we will try to help. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version here. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
